Babe Ruth teams slug it out

Against Spooky’s, Bailey Ortega went 2 for 4 with two runs scored, and Tazman Moffett tacked on three hits and a run scored to spearhead the nine-hit attack.

William Justesen had a hit and a run scored, and Bradley Moe stroked a triple and scored a run.

Justesen, Jacob Wetmore and Brody Woods combined for five innings pitched with four hits allowed, nine walks and seven strikeouts.

Spooky’s had four hits by Dylon Jinkins, John Miller, Daniel Peters and Roy Johnson.

Ethan Schubert walked twice and scored a run, as did Quinn Roetcisoender.

Jinkins, Miller and Johnson had RBI hits and Miller scored twice.

Jinkins tossed four innings of eight-hit ball with five strikeouts and five walks.

Against Y-102, East cascade Electric broke open a 5-4 lead with eight runs in the sixth inning to pull off the 13-4 triumph.

Moe paced the offense with a 2 for 3 effort with two runs and three RBIs. Wetmore added two runs and two RBIs and both Woods and Moffett walked, had a hit and scored twice.

Preston Klindt picked up the win, as he pitched two innings and allowed one run on one hit.

Ortega finished the final four frames with seven strikeouts, no walks and two unearned runs allowed.

Jose Gonzalez, Boston Bate, Spencer Honald, Damon Liberidhs and Charlie Hert each notched hits, while Timmy Tibbets, John Beck and Hert scored a run apiece.

Y-102’s Honald did his best to keep ECE down, but he allowed four hits, five runs, four unearned and struck out six to pick up the loss.

ECE hits the Kramer Field again at 6 p.m. tonight versus Sherman.

After that, they play Pepsi at 6 p.m. Thursday to end their weekend.

Spooky’s plays against Y-102 at 6 p.m. Friday, and the same Y-102 team hits the field versus Goldendale at 6 p.m. Monday.
