PORTLAND (AP) — Some of the coolest temperatures of the season so far are expected this week in Oregon.

The National Weather Service says Tuesday night temperatures are expected to drop to freezing or below in central Oregon, including Madras, Redmond and Bend.Some upper ski resorts, such as Timberline Lodge, may be seeing their first dusting of snow of the season. Forecasters say frost is possible Thursday morning in outlying areas around Portland, such as Hillsboro and Forest Grove as temperatures drop to the low to mid-30s.
