A section of Thompson Street, from East 15th to 16th streets, will be closed by The Dalles Public Works crew for installation of a new water service line on Feb. 10 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 4 p.m. Some parking on Thompson St. will be restricted. East 14th Street will be open for those travelling east or west and East 16th will be open for local access. Motorists are encouraged to use Quinton or Morton streets as alternate routes travelling north and south.

A series of one-lane closures will take place Feb. 19 between the hours of 4 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Second between the roundabout and Cherry Heights Road. Public works is performing video camera inspections of the sanitary and storm sewer mains to confirm that no damage was caused by heavy transformers that were moved through town. Side streets may be closed for short durations, and turning may be limited in the work area, which will move from east to west.
