Wasco Electric Cooperative and Northern Wasco County PUD experienced a widespread power outage at 12:10 a.m. Wednesday that was caused by a disruption in Bonneville Power Administration service at its Maupin transmission station.

The outage affected six WEC substations and two NWPUD substations, serving approximately 3,900 electric services throughout the southern sector of the county.
