Accidents
Oregon State Police
September 16, 8:57 p.m. – Single vehicle, non-injury crash, Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 126. Driver was heading west when a tire blew causing the vehicle to strike the center barrier.
Fire
Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue
September 16, 10:06 a.m. – Personnel responded to Royal Crest Drive on a report of a loud explosion with smoke in the area. Contact was made with a private road maintenance crew who were crack sealing the road. The tar machine had backfired causing the loud bang and the machine was also giving off steam. No problem was found.
September, 16, 8:00 p.m. – Personnel responded to the 2600 block of West 7th Street on a report of a brush fire in a vacant lot. The fire was extinguished and mopped up. The cause of the fire is unknown.
Personnel also responded to three calls for emergency medical services.
Police Reports
The Dalles City
Police responded to the hospital Wednesday morning after staff reported that a patient came in and advised she was raped. A report was taken and the incident is under investigation.
Ashley Marie Russell, 26, The Dalles, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at West 9th and Union streets and is accused of parole violation.
Michael David Shinnick, 44, The Dalles, was arrested Wednesday evening in the 500 block of Mt. Hood Street and is accused of parole violation.
Wasco County
A theft report was taken Wednesday morning from the 4100 block of Chenowith Road after a victim reported some items were stolen from a barn.
Brittni Irene Catron, 19, The Dalles, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the 3800 block of West 10th Street and is accused of second-degree burglary and second-degree theft by receiving.
Huey Norman Henson, 61, The Dalles, was arrested at West 2nd and Webber streets during a traffic stop and is accused of driving while suspended.
Oregon State Police
Trooper responded to the 3300 block of West 7th Street Wednesday evening after contact with a subject who was out of compliance for his sex offender status. He was cited and released for failure to register as a sex offender and a report was taken.
Gilliam County
Carlos Perez Ahilon, 28, Hermiston, was arrested Wednesday afternoon during a traffic stop on Interstate 84 eastbound, milepost 138, and is accused of driving while suspended.
Regional Jail
Michael Gregory Jorgensen, 21, The Dalles, was transported and jailed Wednesday after being arrested on a local warrant for probation violation.
Parole & Probation
Randy Sherman Cumiford, 41, The Dalles, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in the community corrections office and is accused of six counts of probation violation.
