Fire
Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue
November 4, 12:37 a.m. – Personnel responded to the 100 block of West 8th Street on a report of a garage fire. Upon arrival a detached garage was found with smoke coming from it. Investigation discovered a homemade dehydrated had malfunctioned causing the smoke.
November 4, 3:33 p.m. – Personnel responded to Interstate 84 westbound, milepost 87 on a report of an odor investigation. Caller reported a heavy smell of gas in the area. The area was checked and no problem or odor were located.
Personnel also responded to four calls for emergency medical services.

A runaway report was taken Tuesday morning from the 500 block of East 10th Street after a mother reported her juvenile daughter did not return home.
Shelby Ann Elizabeth Long, 23, 416 East 10th St., was arrested Tuesday morning in the 2700 block of West 7th Street and is accused of aggravated identity theft, unlawful possession of methamphetamines, second-degree forgery, possession of a controlled substance, and unlawful possession of heroin.
A restraining order violation report was taken Tuesday afternoon from the 2300 block of West 10th Street after a victim reported a male suspect was texting her when he was not allowed to contact her. The incident is under investigation.
Yadira Carmina Ambriz Gonzalez, 25, Rufus, was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 1200 block of West 10th Street and is accused of first-degree theft.
An informational report was taken Tuesday evening from the 1500 block of West 1st Street after an employee reported a suspect attempted to mail a package containing marijuana. The evidence was seized.
William Frank Krueger, 23, no listed address, was arrested Tuesday evening and is accused of second-degree burglary and first-degree aggravated theft. The subject was arrested out of the city limits.
Jeffrey Lee Shegrud, 52, Rufus, was arrested Tuesday in the 2300 block of West 2nd Street on a Sherman County warrant for probation violation.
Wasco County
A second-degree theft report was taken Tuesday afternoon from a location undisclosed by the department after a victim reported a male suspect stole some items from her home.
A theft report was taken Tuesday evening from Browns Creek Road after a victim reported some decorative items were stolen from his property.
A child abuse report was taken Tuesday evening from a location undisclosed by the department after a mother reported her son came home from staying with his father over the weekend and had some signs of physical abuse. The incident is under investigation.

Gary Michael Brunson, 39, 2217 West 10th St., was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 3300 block of Bret Clodfelter Way and is accused of failure to register as a sex offender.
Irma Gonzales, 61, 608 East 18th St., was arrested Tuesday afternoon in the 3300 block of Bret Clodfelter Way and is accused of failure to register as a sex offender.
Regional Jail
Michael James Miles Jr., was transported by the department of corrections and jailed Tuesday on four circuit court warrants for first-degree failure to appear.
Lindsey Rae Lick, 28, 1203 Chinook St., was jailed Tuesday on a circuit court commitment for contempt of court.
Jacqueline Elizabeth Rojas, 39, Wapato, Wash., was transported and jailed Tuesday after being arrested on a Sherman County warrant for three counts of probation violation.
Skyler Shawn Pfleger, 26, Redmond, was transported by Deschutes County and jailed Tuesday after being arrested on a Sherman County warrant for probation violation.
