A caller in the 600 block of Union reported Tuesday morning that a man took over 70 sleeping pills. He was transported to the hospital by ambulance.
A caller in the 500 block of East Ninth Street reported Tuesday morning a dog was stuck in a trampoline. The animal control officer released the dog from a spring in the trampoline. It was uninjured.
A caller in the 1200 block of West Sixth Street reported Tuesday morning seeing a woman throwing items in a business dumpster. The caller tried to talk to the woman but the woman drove off. The caller gave police the license of the woman’s vehicle and also showed them a picture she’d taken of the woman. Police later saw the woman, who agreed to retrieve the garbage from the dumpster and said she wouldn’t do it again.
A caller at East Fifth and Washington reported Tuesday afternoon he lost an iPhone 6 a week ago.
A caller in the 600 block of East 12th Street reported Tuesday evening produce was taken from his garden and he had a suspect. The suspect was contacted and told police she doesn’t like cucumbers and she believes the caller has her mistaken for someone else.
A caller in the 400 block of East Seventh Street reported Tuesday evening a suspicious male was across the street, and had been sitting outside a building for awhile. Police found the person was a female real estate agent who was doing her job.
A caller in the 1700 block of East 10th Street reported Tuesday evening seeing two people getting high with some type of pipe, and then driving off. Police were unable to locate the vehicle.
A caller in the 1500 block of West First Street reported late Tuesday hearing banging on garage door from inside a building. The building owner responded and an ice machine was dumping ice into a bucket every few minutes.
Kenneth Scott Nyberg, 51, The Dalles, was arrested at Seventh and Snipes and is accused of probation violation.
An upset teen caller in the 1300 block of Trevitt reported early Wednesday that her mom took her phone and broke it because she was not following household rules. The teen went to another home for the night to calm down.
Wasco County
On Tuesday morning, deputies responded to a report of a missing lawn mower. Caller said he hired a man to mow his lawn in the 4100 block of Chenowith Road and the next day the mower was gone. Deputy located the mower at another man’s home and he told the deputy he took the mower home to fix a damaged blade.
Criminal mischief/vandalism was reported Tuesday afternoon after a man’s wooden rowboat left along an access road two miles above Shearers Falls was discovered thrown over an embankment and damaged.
Deputies responded to an assault complaint Tuesday afternoon near the intersection of Simonelli Road and Highway 30. Caller stated he was walking outside with his dog and his dog ran into street barking at a male walking up the street. The man kicked the dog and continued walking. The caller and the man who kicked the dog exchanged words, and then the man pushed the caller down and left on a bike. Deputies were unable to locate the man.
On Tuesday afternoon in the 3800 block of West 17th Street, deputies responded to a domestic altercation taking place in a car. Deputies arrived and spoke with male subject, who said female had left in another vehicle. The female was discovered to have an active warrant and deputies are attempting to locate her.
Dogs were reported to be on the loose on Tuesday afternoon in the 4100 block of Chenowith Road. Deputy responded and warned owners that they will be cited if their dogs run loose again.
A caller reported a fight between an adult and a child on St. Charles Avenue on Tuesday evening. Deputies made contact and man admitted he had been loud and agreed to keep it down.
In the 1200 block of West First Street early Wednesday morning, caller reported a neighbor yelling at her because she was using a hose at midnight.
On Wednesday morning, a caller reported someone laying on the shoulder of the road in the 4100 block of Chenowith Road. Deputy unable to locate anyone in the area reported.
Sherman County
Dee Adams Farmin, 47, Spokane, was arrested Tuesday morning and accused of unlawful possession of methamphetamine.
