Tuesday, Feb. 12, unknown time – Bill Ford, 59, reported a hit and run occurred sometime Tuesday in the 600 block of East 2nd Street. Vehicle had driver side damage, white paint transfer.

Rescue

Crews responded and engine at 2:44 p.m. Thursday afternoon to a home in the 800 block of Cascade St. West to investigate odor of smoke inside the residence when furnace was operating. Thermal imager found no heat or fire. A broken smoke detector was replaced with a free unit provided by the department.

Crews responded to three requests for emergency medical assistance.

Police Reports

The Dalles City

Officers responded to a domestic complaint in the 2400 block of West 10th Street Thursday morning. A man, 31, was arrested and is charged with second-degree disorderly conduct and interfering with a police officer.

A man in the 1800 block of West 2nd Street reported his work van had been broken into. A laptop, cell phone, briefcase and tools were taken. Report taken for theft.

A driver pumped $50 of gas into his vehicle but was unable to pay for it. A The Dalles man, 31, was arrested and transported to NORCOR, where he faces charges of third-degree theft.

A report of fourth-degree assault was taken from a woman in the 500 block of Liberty Street.

Oregon State Police

Officers arrested Stanford W. Harvey of Tygh Valley on a parole violation detainer from Wasco County Thursday evening.

A driver was reported to be unaware of where she was, where she was going or where she lived. Driver was stopped westbound on I-84, milepost 89. The woman from Washington agreed to be transported to the Oregon State Police office, and was then released to her family.

Regional Jail

Stephen F. Cripe, 58, 3564 E. 2nd Street, The Dalles, was arrested and lodged at NORCOR. He is charged with first-degree sexual penetration with an object and three counts of first degree sexual abuse.

Parole and Probation

Stanford W. Harvey, 46, 82645 Tygh Valley Rd., Tygh Valley, was lodged at NORCOR on probation violations (failure to pass a drug test.)
