Ted Walker pool is closed for the summer in anticipation of replacing the aged pool, so some folks may be inclined to head to the river for a cooling dip.

But swimming in the river isn’t the same as swimming in a pool, said a local kayaker, who served as a Good Samaritan, but asked not to be named.
