‘Ladybug Girl’ comes to life in The Dalles

A chalkboard served as an easel in the corner of Klindt's Booksellers & Stationers Thursday evening as David Soman asked the kids sitting around him how to draw his character, “Ladybug Girl.” He told them he needed crazy music to get in the drawing mood.

Hood River native Dylan Thompson was in Aspen last week for the 2013 X Games. Competing in the Snowboard Street event, Thompson finished third overall to claim bronze — his first X-Games medal — behind Louif Paradis and Dylan Alito in first and second.
