Youth Cross Country Meet is slated to run on Sept. 25

The 18th annual Jumpstart Elementary Cross Country races are fast approaching and more than 400 boys and girls from kindergarten-through-fifth grade are expected to join in on the fun, starting at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at Sorosis Park. Harriers from the Columbia Gorge, Wasco, Hood River and Sherman Counties are encouraged to run.

Close to 75 youngsters participate in annual Jumpstart Track and Field Meet Event organizer Tom Conklin was smiling ear-to-ear after revealing his thoughts on how well the turnout was for the annual Jumpstart Elementary Track and Field Meet Tuesday at Sid White Field in The Dalles.
