On Thursday night in Hood River, the HRV girls lacrosse team got its third-straight win of the season with another blowout victory, this time at the expense of the Wilson Trojans, who lost 16-2 to give the Eagles their most decisive victory of the season.

Facing a do-or-die game Friday night, the Hood River Valley High School varsity girls soccer team ended its season with a 3-1 loss against the No. 22-ranked Wilson Trojans. The Eagles had home-field advantage for state championship tournament play-in game after finishing the regular season ranked No. 11.

Senior Kristin Lago and freshman Lydia McElderry led the Hood River Valley High School varsity girls lacrosse team to victory Tuesday with five goals each at Central Catholic. The 17-9 win came with help from seniors Kaili Duffy and Kayla Van Hoose, who had three and two goals each and, along with senior Hannah Hurley, provided key leadership in the team’s third win of the season.

The Hood River Valley football team got off to another slow start and this time it couldn't recover. The Wilson Trojans scored twice in the opening six minutes of the game and sprinted out to a 34-0 lead before beating the Eagles 41-16 at Wilson Friday.

Down by one goal to the Wilson Trojans midway through the fourth quarter Monday night, the Hood River Valley High School varsity boys lacrosse team had a good chance at continuing its season by advancing to a state playoff play-in round in Bend later in the week.
