Fall harvests make the Hood River Farmers’ Market more abundant than ever with tomatoes, kale, beets, squash, onions, apples, pears, and more. The market continues every Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Nov. 19, in the Fifth and Columbia parking lot across from Full Sail.

This month’s Crop Talk, 6 p.m. at the Rockford Grange, 4250 Barrett Drive in Hood River, will feature a short field trip to a farm located near the Grange. Meet at the Grange and then car pool to Casa Verde CSA, which delivers veggies to members’ homes March through October.

Heading west: A permanent fixture at 509 E. Second St. for more than 35 years, David Kelsey is taking his services as an auto mechanic to the west side of town. Kelsey worked at the East Second location through a variety of name changes from S&R Auto to Castle, to Alleyway and now Cornstone Auto.
