I usually try to avoid being too focused on the Mid-Columbia Senior Center, but this week is going to be an exception because of these opportunities: Wednesday, Sept. 18: Passport to Happiness event from 1-2:30 p.m. Lauren Kraemer, OSU Extension Family and Community Health specialist, will demonstrate several healthy dishes.

The Dalles-Wasco County Library offers high-energy entertainment in Komedy 4 da Kids, presented by physical comedian Angel Ocasio on Friday, Nov. 1, at 10:30 a.m. Ocasio puts on a 50-minute, one-man variety show suited to family audiences.

Lions Follies presents "The Laff Inn"

The 26th annual Lions Follies hits the stage at the Hood River Middle School auditorium Friday for a five-night run. This year's show is called "The Laff Inn," and promises to bring guffaws as well as some silly sentimentality as it harkens back to the variety shows of the 1960s and '70s.
