HOOD RIVER — Hood River Watershed Group representatives will attend the Port of Hood River’s Feb. 17 meeting will provide an overview of a federally-funded “Hood River Confluence Aquatic Ecosystem Restoration Feasibility Study.”

Free news: Wasco, Hood River, and Sherman counties — and every other Oregon county — are now able to recycle more items, be it curbside or at the transfer station. In July, Oregon moved to a statewide program with one list of what is and is not recyclable, according to Tri-County Hazardous Waste and Recycling Program.

The events will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, at Hood River Garbage, and Saturday, Aug. 16, at The Dalles Disposal. Both events are open to households and qualifying small businesses in the tri-county area.
