Goldendale's Richard Flynn wants to build a time machine. He wants to go back to Oct. 30, 1938 - 80 years ago this October when radio was the hot new thing and millions listened to it daily. And on the evening of that date, one radio broadcast terrorized much of the country.

Radio Tierra and Columbia Center for the Arts are proud to present the live radio broadcast of Independence Eve at the Bingen Theater, July 3, 7 to 9 p.m. featuring the music of the “Columbiaires” of “It’s a Wonderful Life” fame, singer/songwriter Alonza Garbanzo, Mariachi Los Temerosos De Juan Antonio, Harmony of the Gorge, the poetry of William Stafford, Tongue Twisters with Kirby Neuman Rae, and much, much more.
