OSP seeks help finding family of longtime homeless man

Identification has been made in the case of a woman’s body found Nov. 26 near The Dalles Dam, but difficulty locating next of kin is delaying release of the name, according to Wasco County Chief Dep. Lane Magill.

Police have identified a 37-year-old man killed on the train tracks in The Dalles late the evening of Oct. 4. The next of kin have been notified of J. Randall Jones, who has no known address but has lived in The Dalles area for at least the past 18 years, said Chief Jay Waterbury of The Dalles Police Department.
