We’ve got a new definition of going postal. Two weeks ago, postal staffer Randy Tumlinson posted a beautiful scratch 708 series to lead all league scores at Hood River’s Orchard Lanes.
Last week’s 10-pin action was in full swing at Hood River’s Orchard Lanes. For the first time in weeks, the entire league schedule was completed and on top of that, the 65th annual City Bowling Tournament was conducted. Big scores and lots of new faces emerged in the limelight. Check out the highlights below.
Last week’s bowling league action at Hood River’s Orchard Lanes produced a bunch of excellent scores. The cream of the crop rose to the top and fresh faces flourished. The Team of the Week reflects that mix. Leading the parade of tall totalers was Lynn Spellman, who blasted a huge scratch 750 series in the Wednesday afternoon senior Colts & Fillies league. Lynn is once again becoming a familiar name in the limelight around here, as he is a multiple member of the Team of the Week in this young bowling season.
Just missing the elite Team of the Week at Hood River’s Orchard Lanes were Rod Pratt and Mark Chabotte. Pratt rolled a nice 671 set in the first outing of the Thursday afternoon County league with a fine opening series capped by a big 255 game.
