Immigration Counseling Service (ICS), a not-for-profit immigration law firm based in Portland, has opened a new regional office in Hood River, located in the Union Building at 216 Columbia St. The office is open to the public Tuesday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Donald W. Hull and Ruben D. Cleaveland have joined the long established law firm of Annala, Carey, Baker, Thompson, and VanKoten, P.C., located at 305 Cascade St. in downtown Hood River. Hull retired in 2011, after serving 22 years as a circuit court judge for Hood River County and the Seventh Judicial District. Prior to being a Judge, Hull was a partner in the Annala Carey firm and he was previously the District Attorney for Hood River County from 1970 to 1974. He now returns to the firm.

Kristen Campbell has joined Timmons Law PC as an associate attorney. Campbell, a Michigan native, fulfilled a lifelong dream when she relocated her family to the Columbia River Gorge two years ago. She is a 2001 summa cum laude graduate of Michigan State University College of Law. Prior to relocating, Campbell spent the majority of her career in a large, regional Midwest law firm. Prior to that, she clerked for the Michigan Court of Appeals and Supreme Court.

CHICAGO (AP) — A Chicago law firm has taken steps to sue Boeing Co. on behalf of 83 people who were aboard the Asiana Airlines flight that crash-landed in San Francisco earlier this month, alleging that a malfunction of the plane’s auto throttle may have caused the crash.
