In a 3-2 split, the White Salmon City Council voted down a motion to adopt Mayor David Poucher’s proposed declaration of diversity and inclusiveness.

Before the Bingen-White Salmon Police Department starts issuing citations for illegal parking on the south side of downtown Jewett Boulevard next month, Police Chief Tracy Wyckoff is hoping motorists will have adapted to the city’s new back-in angle parking policy.
