Swimmers post big improvements at home meet

Hood River Valley Swim Team Osprey hosted its annual Harvest of Gold Swim Meet, sponsored by ERS / Your Rental and Party Centers last weekend at the Hood River Aquatic Center. Oregon Swimming Official Stan Benson celebrated 40 years of officiating in Oregon Swimming at the meet.

Hood River Valley High School swimming will send eight team members to compete in this OSAA 5A boys and girls swimming state championships this weekend at Mt. Hood Community College.

Hood River Valley Swim Team continues to add state champions to its ranks as this year’s season comes to a climax. Competing at the recent 2013 Oregon senior state championships, HRVST standouts Scott Bergstrom, Danielle Miller, Erin Nelson and Connor Webb all won state titles.

HRV Swim Team hosts HR meet

The Hood River Aquatic Center was a full house last weekend during the Hood River Valley Swim Team’s annual autumn meet. The three-day event brought more than 300 kids to town from across the Northwest. Representing Hood River were 44 swimmers, all of whom achieved a best time in at least one individual event and many of whom swam in their first-ever meet.
