To the editor: I know we all have thanked the firemen, ranchers, families, and friends throughout the last three weeks and four large fires, but I want to thank the Salvation Army for their presence at these huge local fire events.
To the editor: The Wasco City Council would like to thank all the Sherman County fire and emergency personnel for being able to confine the business fire, on Aug 3, in Wasco, to just one building.
To all firemen: I would like to thank you for saving the Rockwell family house and property. I would also like to thank you for all the hard work you do to put yourself in danger to save others in danger. If it weren’t for you firemen, my family house would not be here. So because of you firemen I am safe, my family is safe and my home is safe. So once again I want to thank you for the hard work you do.
To the editor: With the possibility of flooding this spring after the big fire last fall, I wanted to pass along my experience. My husband was a fireman for the city of Lake Oswego during that big flood of 1996. I helped sandbag as he was working.
May 18 event is tribute to overseas veterans Mid-Columbia Fire & Rescue, local law enforcement agencies and military representatives are providing community members with an up close and personal look at the world of emergency responders.
