Hood River County School District is down 11 students compared to last year’s enrollment numbers, said Catherine Dalbey, Human Resources Department director. This year, HRCSD has an enrollment of 4,087 district-wide.

Matt Rutledge, a fourth/fifth grade teacher at Mosier Community School, was named 2019 Regional Teacher of the Year for the North Central region, receiving a $500 cash prize and a candidacy for Oregon’s 2019 Teacher of the Year.

The Awesome Readers will be representing Westside Elementary School at the Regional Oregon Battle of the Books (OBOB) on March 18.
