Wood, Conklin kick off 5A meet

The Dalles freshman Tressa Wood placed eighth in the 3,000 meters this morning with a personal-record time of 11 minutes and 15.63 seconds at the 5A OSAA State Track and Field Championship in Eugene, improving on her old PR set at districts last week in Hermiston (11:23.34).

Horizon track finishes middle of the pack at Condon/Wheeler Invite

The Horizon Christian School boys and girls track teams did well with their small rosters at the Condon/Wheeler Invitational last weekend, with the boys finishing 12th of 17 teams and the girls finishing ninth of 18 teams in a meet that included primarily small schools from both sides of the Columbia Gorge and beyond.
