Running enthusiasts could not ask for better conditions ahead of the 14th annual Valentine’s Day run/walk held on Feb. 8 at Lewis and Clark Park in The Dalles.
All told, there were 91 participants signed up and ready to put their best foot forward.

Jacob Hernandez missed two days of practice due to a sprained wrist. Hernandez hit a pair of clutch fourth-quarter 3-pointers, and he and teammate Josh Nisbet combined for 27 second-half points as The Dalles Riverhawks overcame a 33-29 halftime deficit with a 43-33 run in the final 16 minutes to dispatch of Hood River Valley, 72-66, Tuesday in Columbia River Conference hoops action at Kurtz Gym.
