St. Mary’s Academy in The Dalles is anticipating a like, totally awesome evening at its 44th annual super auction this Saturday with its theme of “This is Our Time: 80s Prom Night.”

Eleven ducklings were reunited with their worried momma Sunday morning thanks to a Youtube video and some quack-thinking — er, quick-thinking — by The Dalles police officers. A woman called dispatchers Sunday morning just after 9 a.m. to report a frantic duck was wandering in the road chirping, in the area west of the city dock and Rock Fort on Union Street.
Mari grew up in Troutdale, where her parents still live, and she has family in the greater Portland area. Rob is an avid kiteboarder and Mari has been learning. Both love kiting, as well as the wine and beer tasting scene in Hood River and the beauty of the Gorge.
