During Scholarship Night on Tuesday, June 6, in Miller Memorial Gym in White Salmon, Columbia School’s Class of 2017 students received scholarships and other monetary awards totaling nearly $500,000.

Junior Haley Blair had the top finish of Columbia High runners who competed last Saturday at the Three-Course Challenge in Seaside, Ore.

At lot of attention in these pages this fall was paid to Columbia High’s boys and girls cross country teams, and rightfully so as the CHS boys, in particular, had their best season since 1996, winning both league and district titles.

Columbia High’s boys cross country team left everything they had on the hilly Sun Willows Golf Course last Saturday on its way to an 11th-place finish in the 2014 WIAA 1A Championship in Pasco.
