To the editor: Shame, shame on District 21 and whoever made the bad decision not to allow those two young men to march in to graduation in their Marine dress uniforms.

To the editor: “Horrified” is the only word to describe my reaction to the Chronicle headline “TD finds BB gun ‘no threat.’” Reading the text only worsened my horror. As the victim of a BB shot that nearly destroyed my eye when I was 9 or 10 years old, I think my reaction is understandable.

To the editor: Do you know what IEW is? IEW is the short name of "International Education Week.” It is held to make an opportunity to be interested in international exchange.

To the editor: I want to thank Nikki Lesich for the special remembrance of David “Norm” Davis in the March 28, 2017 issue of The Dalles Chronicle. It was very touching.
