With school starting this week, we again find children walking and riding their bicycles to school. Also those big yellow buses are on our streets and roads picking up and delivering children to and from home to school. While walking to and from the bus stop, waiting at the bus stop and crossing the street to get on the bus, these children are put at risk due to inattentive drives.

Busing changes will be occurring at the Intermediate School on its first day, Aug. 26, and route changes will occur throughout the district the remainder of the year.

SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — A bus stop in Spokane happens to be under a favorite perch for birds, and the droppings are so bad the Spokane Transit Authority has been forced to move the stop out of the drop zone. Riders say the sidewalk and bench under the power lines at the intersection of Green and Mission are filthy.
