UMATILLA — Tuesday’s game at league rival Umatilla didn’t have any affect on the standings for the Horizon Christian Hawks.

Spring Break was extended an extra couple days for the Horizon Christian baseball team, which played just one of its three scheduled games this week due to poor weather conditions.

The Horizon Christian basketball team fell to 1-12 on the season Tuesday night with a 71-53 loss to Big Sky Conference foe, Ione, at Wy’east Middle School.

Nearly two months of hard work finally came to fruition for the Horizon Christian basketball team, which won its first game of the season Friday: a 46-36 road victory over the Crook County Christian Warriors of Redmond.

Nothing soothes the pain of a heartbreaking road loss more than two blowout wins at home.
