HRV girls win first-ever playoff game in spine-tingling fashion

PENDLETON — When you’re playing against teams in the lower half of the league, it can be easy to let down your guard.

Undefeated and in third place. That’s where the HRV soccer girls found themselves before Thursday’s home match with fourth-place Bend.

Every year about this time, the HRV girls soccer team begins to settle into what most sports fans refer to as “crunch time.”
