Many older citizens are having trouble with snow. I want to suggest a block party attitude, let’s get together by block to shovel snow and check on neighbors.
To the editor: Men have failed miserably…for about 6,000 years. An occasional good man is not enough…the selfish self-serving men outnumber the good.
To the editor: The Biblical definition of divorce is to be found at Deuteronomy 24: 1-5, which basically says that a couple may get a legal divorce when the "grace" has gone from the marriage and some defilement has marred the union. Jesus pretty much confirms this attitude at Matthew 19: 3-11.
To the editor: I am writing this letter in support of retaining Karen Ostrye as Circuit Court Judge. Karen is dedicated to our community and supportive of its members, as demonstrated by her concern for issues relating to our youth. Karen has a real interest in helping people solve problems and guiding them toward becoming productive members of society.
The most powerful financial tool you have at your disposal is your ability to control your thoughts and the circumstance in your life. Your attitude is the only thing in your life over which you have complete control.
To the editor: I am writing on behalf of Nora Ferguson regarding the position of County Commissioner position 1. I have gotten to know Nora quite well and can thoroughly vouch for her character and abilities. She has a pleasant and positive attitude and is a team player.
