We are deeply saddened by the sudden loss of our beloved Timothy Duane Smith. Tim passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 13, 2018.
Tim was born on Oct. 6, 1967, in Hood River, Ore., to Sonny and Rhonda Smith. Tim graduated from Hood River Valley High School in 1985, then attended Chemeketa Fire School.
Tim is survived by his parents: Sonny and Rhonda Smith of Lyle; his brothers Jeremy (Pauline) Smith and Nathan (Melissa) Smith; his sons; Bubba Smith, Corey Smith, Cody Smith, Skyller Smith and his daughter Graysen Smith; granddaughters: Rylee Smith and Alaina Smith; and was expecting a grandson in July; and five nieces, five nephews and many cousins whom he loved.
Tim loved spending time with all of his kids and grandkids and was so proud of each one. He also enjoyed spending time with his brothers and dad watching the UFC fights.
You could count on Tim taking trips down memory lane when the family got together. And, oh boy, did they have some funny stories of the younger years.
He loved his family and was deeply loved by his whole family. Tim was an exceptional fun, loving, caring, compassionate son, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. You could always count on Tim to help out when needed.
Tim was a devoted grandson who helped take care of his grandparents towards the end of their lives. He was a dedicated son and a huge help to his parents up on their property as well as maintaining a full-time job.
Tim dearly loved his two dogs, Chile and Sweet Pee, who were his constant companions. You never saw Tim without his dogs.
Tim is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Aubrey and Nancy Smith, Lloyd and Cecile Hemer.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018, at 1 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Valley Bible Church (Horizon Christian School).
