Theodore Leigh Kuhnhausen (Ted) was born in White Salmon to Vern and Thelma (Murray) Kuhnhausen. He was number 6 of 10 children.
Ted passed on Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, of health complications at the age of 73.
Ted was an enjoyer of life to its fullest. Some things he enjoyed were hunting, rodeo, horses, golf, coaching Little League baseball and he was an avid outdoorsman.
Ted served four years in the Navy (and just a funny note, Dad couldn’t swim a lick).
Ted was at their home in Maupin, Ore., with his wife Debbie, of 36 years, when he passed.
Ted is survived by his wife Debbie Kuhnhausen, daughters Ginger Hunt (Stacy), Tana Slawson (Rick); sons Vern Kuhnausen (Connie), Theodore (Snuf) Kuhnhausen Jr., Troy Kuhnhausen (Suzanne), Jerry Kuhnhausen (Casey); 12 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters Thelma Smith and Wilda Roberts; brothers Terry Kuhnhausen and Rick Kuhnhausen; and ex-wife Harriet Leaton. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, three brothers, one daughter-in-law and one great-grandchild.
Ted was laid to rest in graveside services in Glenwood at the Mt. Adams Cemetery on Aug. 15, 2015, at 2 p.m. Also, there will be a celebration of life on Aug. 29, 2015, at 2 p.m. at the Maupin grade school gym, followed by a potluck.
