Sherrill Lee Hebener passed away in her home on July 6, 2016, after battling metastatic urothelial bladder cancer. Sherrill was born Jan. 28, 1941, in Baker, Ore., to Bill and Ruby Bailey, now deceased.
Sherrill had a daycare in Hines, Ore., taught kindergarten in Terrebonne, Ore., and was a special education aide in Mosier, Ore. Her hobbies were quilting, hardanger, tatting, scrapbooking, knitting, and anything craft related.
Sherrill is survived by her husband of 56 years, Gary Lynn Hebener; daughter, LeeAnn Raye Gibbons-Pankratz, and her husband, Michael Pankratz; son, Phillip Lynn Hebener, and his wife, Danielle Hebener; sisters, Janet Rayne and Billie Jean Faulkner; granddaughters, Kriston Lee Gibbons, Samantha Lee Hebener, and Madelynn Annette Hebener; and great-grandson, Alex Leeum Schoenborn.
A celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Mosier Grange, 900 Fourth St., Mosier. Please mail all cards to 8200 Hwy 30 W, The Dalles, OR 97058-8594.
