Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
We are heartbroken to share that Mike Syrovatka passed away on July 2, 2025, while windsurfing near his home on the Columbia River. He was recovered with no visible trauma, and we find comfort in knowing he was doing what he loved.
We invite all who knew and loved him to join us for a celebration of life on July 12 at 11 a.m. at Doug’s Beach State Park, Columbia River Gorge 8132 WA-14, in Lyle, Washington. This gathering is open to everyone. Please spread the word so that all who were touched by his life have the opportunity to come together, share stories, and celebrate him.
Please contact his wife Pam Barlow or son Mark Syrovatka at mark.syrovatka@gmail.com with any questions.
