Robert “Bob” Nolan Pelletier, 62, passed away Nov. 7, 2013, at his home in Hood River, Ore., surrounded by family and loved ones. Bob was born June 13, 1951, in Oak Park, Ill., to Henry and Phyllis Pelletier.
Bob grew up in Illinois and completed his elementary and high school years there. On Dec. 24, 1979, Bob married Sandra Alkire in Wheaton, Ill. Bob and Sandra lived in Illinois, California, Idaho and Oregon.
Bob was employed as a cable television lineman. He enjoyed golfing and the Green Bay Packers. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and loved ones and thoroughly enjoyed talking politics, and had a real passion for animals. Bob was proud to be a member of A.A. also!
Bob is survived by his wife, Sandra Pelletier, of Hood River, Ore.; sons James Tash, of Hood River, and William Tash, of Yucca Valley, Calif.; daughters Heather Contreras and Amber (Jeremy) Lane, of Hood River; 18 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his parents, Henry and Phyllis Pelletier; brothers Chuck (Donna) Pelletier, David (Jean) Pelletier and Michael Pelletier; and many nieces and nephews, family and friends.
Bob is preceded in death by his son Tim Tash and his Aunt Ida.
Services are planned for Thursday, Nov. 14, at 11 a.m. at Anderson’s Tribute Center with grandson Kyle Reese Contreras officiating. A reception will be held following the service at the Hood River Church of the Nazarene, 2168 Belmont Ave., Hood River, with burial to follow the reception at Pine Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the local Alcoholics Anonymous or animal rescue.
