Robert “Tony” Klugel was born in Newark, N.J., on May 6, 1928. Tony passed away peacefully in Portland, Ore., on Jan. 15, 2018.
He is survived by his sister Del Klugel, daughter Lesa Hadley, stepdaughter Maggie Wilson and granddaughter Lily Wilson.
Tony was one of Hood River’s finest jazz musicians. He was a fine singer and was known as the “Piano Guy.” The past 33 years, he performed regularly in the lounge of the historic Columbia Gorge Hotel. His career as a musician spanned over 70 years.
Please join family and friends at the Columbia Gorge Hotel on Sunday, March 4 at 1 p.m. for a celebration of Tony’s life.
