Richard Larch, 74, passed away Nov. 8, 2012, surrounded by friends and family at Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital. He was born in Hood River, Ore., on March 3, 1938.
As a young man he served in the Navy but he spent most of his life living and raising a family in Hood River. He worked on his family’s orchards and as a machinist at Dee Mill and Hanel Mill.
He loved to go camping and hunting with friends and family. He loved the outdoors and exploring Oregon.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Helen Larch; his wife of 29 years, Sylvia Larch Sharkey; his sister, Barbara Arthur; and his son Dennis Lobley.
He is also survived by three sons, David Larch, Donald Larch and Shown Osbourn; two daughters, Yvonne Porter and Lois Gill; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was loved and will be missed.
A celebration of life service with military honors will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, at Anderson’s Tribute Center (Funerals, Receptions, Cremations), 1401 Belmont Ave., Hood River, OR 97031. Please visit www.andersonstributecenter.com to leave a note of condolence for family.
