Rebecca “Becky” (Bradley) Porter passed at her home in Dufur, Ore., on March 16, 2015. She was born in Hood River, Ore., on April 23, 1951, to William and Norma Bradley.
Becky attended Pine Grove Elementary School and Mid Valley Junior High, and graduated from Wy’east High School in 1969. After graduation, Becky attended The Dalles School of Beauty, becoming a licensed beautician, and started working at Latiara Beauty Solon in The Dalles.
Shortly thereafter, while living in The Dalles, she met and eventually married Michael Porter in 1977. Over the next four years they had three children, Kathryn, Russell and Michael. Becky was a stay-at-home mom until all three kids were in school, returning to work as a beautician. Later she became an office administrator at Mt. Copiers, IKON, and after that worked at Kramers Market in Dufur.
Becky is survived by Michael, her husband of 37 years; daughter and son-in-law, Katie and Gary Jette, of Condon; son and daughter-in-law, Russ and Jessie Porter, of St. Helens; and son Michael, of Dufur. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, her brother and sister-in-law, Rich and Wanda Bradley, and an extensive extended family and friends.
She was proceeded in death by her parents, Bill and Norma.
A beautiful graveside service was held at Pine Grove Butte Cemetery on March 21.
Donations may be made in Becky’s name to Grace Covenant Church in Dufur, 690 Northeast Court St., Dufur.
