Patricia Ann "Pat" Dawson Plum, 81, of Hood River, Ore., passed away on March 9, 2012, at Hood River Care Center. She was born Feb. 11, 1931, in Long Beach, Calif., to Leonard Lockridge and Thelma Smith.
She attended school in Hood River and married Don Dawson in Hood River on Nov. 4, 1949. She enjoyed crafts, flowers and working with potpourri.
Pat was a Jehovah's Witness and volunteered with Hospice. She was a "Jill of all trades" and had an extensive knowledge of almost anything from chapped lips to cancer and of course her garden and potpourri that she made. She worked at Diamond Fruit for many years.
Pat was a collector of friends and will be missed by all.
She is survived by daughters Debbie Tellez Ortiz, of Hood River, and Denise Dawson, of Jacksonville, Fla.; sons Reggie Dawson, of The Dalles, Ore., and Ron Dawson, of Austin, Texas; 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her parents, son Barry Dawson and husbands Chris Plum and Don Dawson.
A memorial service is planned for 2 p.m. Saturday, March 31, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1619 Tucker Road, Hood River.
