Veryl Roberta Jones-White, 76, resident of Lyle, Wash., peacefully passed away on Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, with family by her side.
Born June 16, 1947, in Goldendale, Wash., to Alfred Jones and Virgie Lewis, she spent her childhood in Wahkiacus, Wash., and attended school in Klickitat, Wash., where she met Wayne Scott and they married on Nov. 20, 1965, before graduating high school in 1966.
Starting their family in Klickitat, Veryl and Wayne had three daughters: Anita, Fay and Nancy. Not long after moving to Goldendale, tragically, Wayne passed away in 1971, leaving Veryl a widow.

Veryl lived with a gypsy soul, dancing through life to her own song. She held a deep love for her family and animals, embracing life’s adventures with a contagious spirit that brought a smile to all that met her along the way.
