Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
She lived, she loved, she laughed, she left, and the world was richer for knowing her.
Verona Holladay Borton passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on April 29, 2024, in Hood River, Ore. She was born in Interior, S.D., on June 29, 1932, to Bertha and Leo Holladay. She was an amazing mother, wonderful wife, and dear friend. She was a school bus driver for 23 years at the Hood River Valley School District. She drove Bus 24 she was loved and feared by all the kids.

In Loving Remembrance
Remember in me the smallest of things. In the petals on flowers, in hummingbird wings.
Think of me in your everyday. When you feel alone, when you sit down to pray. “I love you, I miss you, I wish you were here,” I am my darling, I am so very near. I am a part of you, as you are a part of me. As the gentle coolness is a part of the breeze. So, remember me in the smallest of things. In petals on flowers and in hummingbird wings.
