Patrick Jon Waddell, 66, a resident of Prineville, Oregon, passed away peacefully at his home on Oct. 25, 2025. He was born on Sept. 10, 1959, in The Dalles, Oregon, the youngest of three brothers.
Patrick began his lifelong career as a mechanic at age 16, starting out as an apprentice at Ray Schultens Ford in The Dalles. He served more than 23 years between active duty and the Washington National Guard, including deployment during Operation Desert Storm. He later continued his service to the military as a Field Service Representative for General Dynamics, supporting units in Germany, Iraq, and across the U.S. Patrick was an easy-going soul known for his humor, and generosity. Patrick enjoyed traveling, taking care of those around him and his cat, Nutmeg, who kept him company. He took great pride in his daughter and in serving the U.S. soldiers.
A memorial service with military honors will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. at Whispering Pines Funeral Home in Prineville. He will be laid to rest at IOOF Oddfellows Cemetery in The Dalles.
