Pamela A. Shelquist, born April 1, 1959, died Jan. 17, 2025. Pam was born in Worthington, Minnesota, but lived most of her life in The Dalles, Oregon.
She attended St. Mary’s Academy and graduated from The Dalles High School. She went on to nursing school, where she earned her nursing degree. She worked in hospitals in Medford, Oregon, St. Vincent’s in Portland, Oregon, Saudi Arabia, The Dalles and Hood River, Oregon. The last few years, she has lived in an adult community in Gresham, Oregon, where she was both active and loved by many friends. Pam was an avid reader and made many beautiful stitchery projects.
Pam has left behind two brothers, Bruce (Audrey), and Mark (Teri); and nephew Matt (Laure) and their two children Cooper and Andi. Cats were always her special children and she is survived by two well-loved kitties, Simba and Lacy.
No service is planned at this time. Any gifts may be made in her name to the humane society.

My heart is grieved to hear about Pam's passing. I haven't seen her in years but have such fond memories of our childhood together. I lived just around the corner from Pam and many times we would walk to and from Joseph G. Wilson school together...then Jr. High. She was a kind hearted and loving friend. She will be missed!
