Ms. Nancy Lou Shelton Lewis, age 84, of Hood River Oregon, passed away on Oct. 28, 2024, at her residence. She was born April 16,1940, to Hal and Margaret Shelton of Hood River. Her father Hal Shelton was the proprietor of “Hals for Men,” a clothing store in Hood River.

She graduated from Hood River High School in 1958 and went on to marry Roger Lewis, also a Hood River High School graduate, on Oct. 2, 1959. They move to California in 1960 to raise their four children. Both Nancy and Roger returned to Oregon for retirement. Nancy was a member and librarian at St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Saratoga, where her all her children attended elementary school. She was employed at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, a librarian at Cecil H. Green Library until retirement.
Nancy is survived by her four children, Simone Smith, Teresa Cullen, J. Lewis and Rochelle Lewis, as well as her grandchildren, Sarah Lewis, Lauren Landis, Jason Lewis, JC Leffler, Madison Leffler and Chase Cullen, and her dear niece Pegge Groom and nephew Gary Shelton. Nancy was proceeded by her brother Perry Shelton and his wife Odessa Shelton and her sister Virginia Shelton Wallis. She also leaves behind many friends who will sadly miss her.
