Lynde Sue Fink Curtis was born Jan. 29, 1954, in White Salmon, Washington, to Betty and Wayne Fink. She gave birth to her daughter Dana on Oct. 5, 1975, and she married her soulmate Melvin Curtis Aug. 7, 1979, and she gained two bonus kids, Melvin Lee and Brenda Rae.
Lynde passed away peacefully on Sept. 21, 2024, in White Salmon, with her daughter and granddaughter at her side after the family was able to come and say their goodbyes.
She held positions at the post office in her hometown of Klickitat, Washington, Riverview and Sterling Bank in White Salmon, and WAGAP Food Bank in Bingen before she retired. She also was a volunteer for the Klickitat Fire Department and EMT for 26 years.
She loved her family and being involved in family events including watching her kids participating in sports, going up to elk camp, making jewelry with the grandkids, and going boating and fishing with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wayne Fink 2009, husband, Melvin Henry Curtis 2010, and baby brother Ross Fink 2023. She is survived by her mother Betty Fink; sister Judy Lamping; sister-in-law Judy Fink; daughter Dana and her husband Randy; bonus kids Brenda and her husband Howard, and Melvin Lee and his wife Bretta; grandchildren Berkley Geary, Danielle, Dion, and Chelci Curtis, and Deidra, Cassie, and Hunter Clack; great grandchildren Taylor, Jolene, Axel and Marley, Aly, Aiden, and Ninen; along with a distinguished list of nieces and nephews.
