Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Linda Anne Barnett, the grand empress of giggles and the duchess of devotion, embarked on her final, most ethereal adventure on Feb. 14, 2024, in Salem, Ore. Born amidst the crisp autumn leaves of Hood River on Nov. 12, 1945, Linda's life was a tapestry of love, laughter, and a generosity that could put Santa to shame.
With a heart as expansive as the ocean, Linda's love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren knew no bounds. She was their compass in stormy weather, their beacon in the dark, and their soft-landing place when the world seemed a bit too rough.
Her legacy lives on through her daughter Hillory, son-in-law Jeremy, and her merry band of grandchildren, Andrew, Austyn, Kayla, and David, along with her tiny pirates of play, great-grandchildren Kaydence, Aaliyah, Ethan, Linkyn, Harper, Phoenyx, and Peyton, who will continue to navigate life's waters with her love as their guiding star. Linda's sister, Saundra Warlick, remains to share the lore of their legendary sisterly shenanigans.
Linda has now joined her pre-departure party in the sky with her father, Earl, her mother, Mabel, and her brothers Gary, Norman, Brian, and Phil, where they're likely swapping stories and sharing laughs that echo through the heavens.
As we bid adieu to Linda, the admiral of affection and the captain of kindness, let us celebrate her voyage through life with the same joy and exuberance she shared with us all.
