Funeral homes often submit obituaries as a service to the families they are assisting. However, we will be happy to accept obituaries from family members pending proper verification of the death.
Gordon Robert Grange, better known as Bob Grange, sadly passed away on Oct. 20, 2025, after a short illness.
Bob was born in Walla Walla, Washington, on Dec. 18, 1947, to Vivian and Gordon Grange (deceased). Bob is survived by his sister, Colleen Grange of Lemoine, California; and a few cousins. Bob attended Hood River High School and graduated in 1966. Bob was an avid horseman and helped train ponies with his uncle in Walla Walla when he was growing up. He also had his own horse and grew up riding through the countryside with family and friends. Just out of high school, Bob fulfilled his military obligation of 6 years in the Army and National Guard. Bob worked many jobs, but loved driving truck and running heavy equipment. He hauled logs for several local logging companies and also enjoyed hauling fruit for old friends he knew in the Gorge. He later worked out of the Union Hall in Portland, running large equipment. Bob talked a lot about how he enjoyed clamming and deep-sea fishing on the coast.
He will be missed by dear friends and loved ones.
