Donna Richmond, 95, died on March 31, 2024, in Vancouver, Wash. Donna was born on April 12, 1928, in The Dalles, Ore., and grew up in Wishram, Wash. She was the daughter of Edward and Alice (Ganguin) Johnson.
Upon graduating from Wishram High School in 1946, Donna moved to The Dalles, where she worked for the Wasco County Grain Growers. Donna met Delayne Richmond in The Dalles, and they were married in 1947. They raised their family in The Dalles and lived there for 26 years. During their time in The Dalles, Donna worked at Chenowith Middle School. In 1976, she and Delayne moved to Battle Ground, Wash., where they were members of the Battle Ground Baptist Church. In 2016, they moved to Vancouver, Wash.
Donna enjoyed traveling with Delayne, visiting family and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting, doing jigsaw puzzles and playing cards with friends.
Donna is survived by her three children, Cheryl Kellogg (Jeffrey) of Carmel, N.Y., Johnnie Richmond (Candy) of Bosie, Idaho, and Debbie Kochis (Clifford) of Vancouver; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by Delayne, her husband of 71 years.
Funeral services were held at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, Vancouver, Wash., on April 9, 2024.
